Fashionistas, we have some stylish news. The streetwear brand Amiri is expanding from the United States to the United Kingdom, opening on Bond Street in London.
After we spotted a sign on Bond Street stating that it is coming soon, we were buzzing with excitement. Amiri is a Los Angeles–born company that started in 2014. Mike Amiri was born in Los Angeles, United States, is of Iranian descent, and is the mastermind behind the brand. Music is a huge source of inspiration for his designs, and he started off by sewing pieces for artists. The pieces have been worn by Jared Leto, Justin Bieber and Shakira.
In 2018, the brand debuted at Paris Fashion Week. It is now stocked in more than 160 stores around the world, including Bergdorf Goodman in New York and Galeries Lafayette in Paris, and is undergoing an international expansion. In 2024, it expanded to Dubai and opened in the Mall of the Emirates.
If you can’t wait, then head to the department stores Harrods and Selfridges. Amiri is stocked in both stores and offers the latest collections. The brand combines a bold aesthetic with craftsmanship. From distressed denim to graphic T-shirts and standout leather jackets, every piece aims to have an urban polish. Think rebellious and refined – and it’s a chance to add a little West Coast glamour to your everyday look.
