The Burberry pop-up celebrates 170 years of the brand.

The British fashion giant, Burberry, has opened a charming pop-up experience in London. Located in Marylebone, Shreeji News has been reimagined into a plush yet playful space celebrating 170 years of the brand and its iconic trench coat. Running until 6 April 2026, here’s what to expect.

The space itself is a delight to explore, with the newsstand fully reimagined in Burberry’s aesthetic. The brand explores how luxury can exist within a lived environment. Blending the everyday with the extraordinary, the Burberry pop-up takes place in a traditional newsagent's and feels both comfortable and refined.

Pick up a copy of the mock newspaper, The Trench – Portraits of an Icon, which celebrates the trench coat. Guests can also take home free Airmail Weekly postcards featuring The Trench – Portraits of an Icon. Browse the archive imagery and grab yourself a cup of coffee in one of the branded cups.

Founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry, the brand began by offering outerwear and went on to change the course of fashion with its breathable, weatherproof fabric, which redefined rainwear. The trench coat was developed during the First World War — hence the name — and went on to become a symbol of both function and enduring style.

Over the years, Burberry has evolved into a global fashion house and is famous for its signature check pattern. The brand combines craftsmanship with a seamless blend of tradition and modern design. And, the advertising campaigns have included Agyness Deyn, Alva Claire, Erin O'Connor, Karen Elson, Kate Moss, and Naomi Campbell.
