My Chemical Romance will perform at Wembley Arena.

My Chemical Romance have announced two shows in the United Kingdom to mark the 20th anniversary of their album The Black Parade. The concerts will take place on 10 and 11 July at Wembley Stadium in London.

The band shared a series of cryptic social media teasers, sparking speculation among fans about the announcement. The news follows their sold-out North American tour, Long Live: The Black Parade, which received positive reviews from critics.

The Black Parade was released in 2006. At its heart, it is a rock opera album and went on to achieve multi-platinum status in both the United Kingdom and the United States. The album includes the tracks Dead!, Mama, The End, and the fan-favourite Welcome to the Black Parade.

Formed in 2001, the band was directly influenced by the September 11 attacks in New York. Lead vocalist Gerard Way witnessed the attacks from his office and decided to pursue music as a way to make a difference. The band originated in New Jersey, United States. The original line-up included Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Ray Toro, Matt Pelissier, and Frank Iero.

The group signed to Eyeball Records and released their debut album, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love shortly after. Their hits include Helena, I Don’t Love You, and Teenagers.

My Chemical Romance announced their break-up in 2013 but reunited in 2019. They returned to the stage in 2022, releasing their first new track in eight years, The Foundations of Decay.
