Get ready for the Moroccan musician, DYSTINCT in London. The star will be bringing Bababa World Tour to The Roundhouse in Camden on 27 October. If you’d like to get your hands on tickets, here’s what you need to know.
DYSTINCT was born in Mortsel, Belgium, to a Moroccan family. He grew up in Antwerp, and followed in his father’s footsteps and started singing. In 2017, he released his first single, No Ring Ring. In 2021, he released his first album, Mon Voyage. The album reached gold status in a week, and stormed the charts in Belgium, Morocco and the Netherlands. Today, it has more than 100 million streams.
DYSTINCT’s hit songs include Business, Ghazali, Wala and Zaalima. Ghazali became popular during the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. The song peaked at number one in Morocco, and charted in more than 15 countries.
DYSTINCT has garnered success in Belgium, and made his mark in North Africa and Europe. He has fans around the world, and combines catchy tunes with a mix of languages. The languages include Arabic, English, French and Spanish. On Spotify, he has more than 12 million streams per single.
The Roundhouse recently launched the new festival, Roundhouse Three Sixty. Running throughout April, it brought together club nights, live music, spoken word and podcasts. Upcoming shows at the venue include Bedouin on 10 May, Supergrass on 21, 22 and 23 May, and Myke Towers on 8 June.
