The Paris-based comedian is serving sass, spice, and sharp social commentary this September.
Get ready to laugh until it hurts because Mehdi Walker is heading to London. The Paris-based stand-up comic will make his UK debut with Algerian Sauce – A Comedy Night with Mehdi Walker, taking place for one night only on Thursday 25 September at Rich Mix in Shoreditch.
Known for his irreverent humour and cheeky charisma, Mehdi will delve into the realities of North African identity in Europe, tackling everything from corporate culture and marriage to generational heritage and colonial hangovers. Expect a comedy set that’s as thought-provoking as it is punchy.
Having kickstarted his comedy career in 2019, Mehdi has already made a name for himself on both sides of the Atlantic, opening for heavyweights like Carmen Lynch (as seen on The Tonight Show and The Late Show), and performing across Europe and North America. His style is sharp, his timing impeccable, and his material both hilarious and refreshingly relevant.
Joining him on the London stage is Thomas Henry. Featured in The Guardian and BBC Comedy, and a standout at the New York Comedy Festival, Thomas brings a mix of dry wit and irresistible charm that perfectly complements Mehdi’s bold delivery.
The evening is part of DzFest 2025: The Sahara Edition, the third iteration of the UK’s leading Algerian arts and culture festival. Running from 14 to 27 September, the programme promises a rich mix of live music, film screenings, food pop-ups, lectures, and, of course, stand-up comedy.
So if you’re looking for a night of high-energy humour with cultural bite, Algerian Sauce is set to serve it hot.
Tickets to see Mehdi Walker live in London are priced at £11.55 per person, and the show runs from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
