American rock legends Foo Fighters have announced that they will perform at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool, United Kingdom. The band revealed on social media that they will play two shows on 25 and 27 June as part of their upcoming Take Cover Tour 2026. If you’d like to get hold of tickets, here’s what you need to know.
Foo Fighters have performed across the world, from Abu Dhabi to Anfield. The announcement followed a teaser on social media featuring the letters “FF” illuminated across one of Anfield’s stands, sparking speculation among fans – which has now turned out to be true.
Anfield, home of Liverpool Football Club, has over the years become a major concert venue, hosting global superstars including Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift and The Rolling Stones. The Foo Fighters’ European tour will also include performances in Berlin, Milan and Paris, marking one of the band’s biggest continental tours to date.
After his time with Nirvana, Dave Grohl formed Foo Fighters. The concept began as a one-man project before he later recruited a full band. In 1995, the group made their debut in California, United States. The band are renowned for their blend of grunge and alternative rock. Over the years, they have won 12 Grammy Awards and sold tens of millions of records. The group’s hits include "All My Life," "Best Of You," "Learn To Fly" and "Monkey Wrench."
Tickets to see Foo Fighters at Anfield go on sale on 14 November.
