Catch Ziad Zaza and Lege-Cy on tour.
Egyptian rap heavyweights Ziad Zaza and Lege-Cy have officially released the first dates of their upcoming joint world tour. The tour marks a huge milestone for Egyptian rap on a global stage, platforming SWANA talent beyond the Arab world.
The duo will perform in ten countries and even more cities, spanning Europe and North America. The tour will start in Berlin on 9 April, before heading to Paris, Milan, Amsterdam, Vienna, Cologne and Barcelona – in that order. A London show, two dates in Canada and two performances in the United States are also in the works, but the exact locations and venues have not yet been announced.
Their world tour aims to bring the global Egyptian diaspora together under one roof to dance and celebrate SWANA culture. The two Cairo-based MCs will bring their charisma and talent to audiences worldwide for a rare in-person interaction with fans.
The partnership between Ziad Zaza and Lege-Cy goes far beyond this upcoming tour. Previously, the two rappers have worked together on tracks that have been widely popular in the Egyptian rap scene. So far, only one official collaboration exists, titled "WALA MEEN," which has racked up roughly 20 million streams in the eight months since its release on streaming platforms.
Their talents have also extended into the film world, with Ziad Zaza appearing in the Cannes-nominated feature Aisha Can’t Fly Away and the Egyptian TV show Midterm. Lege-Cy also makes a brief cameo in the show, performing on stage as himself in one episode.
Tickets for the first round of tour dates are now available to buy.
