Diaspora Calling! takes place at Milton Keynes National Bowl.
Ms Lauryn Hill is launching the new music festival, Diaspora Calling! Taking place on 7 August 2026, it will be held at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes. And, if you're a big fan, this marks Lauryn’s only performance in the UK in 2026.
First launched in 2016, Diaspora Calling! was created by Ms Lauryn Hill as a music and arts initiative. The aim is to celebrate the creativity of the African diaspora. It began as a curated exhibition and performance at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, and has since grown worldwide. The concept has grown into a touring platform, and included Nas, Kehlani, Noname and Little Simz.
Diaspora Calling! in the United Kingdom brings together Wyclef Jean, alongside rising talents YG Marley and Zion Marley. More names will be announced in the coming months. Wyclef was one of the founding members of the Fugees, alongside Lauryn and Pras. The group’s music combined hip-hop, soul and global influences. Plus, Zion aims to carry on Bob Marley's spirit, as his music blends reggae, soul and hip-hop.

As for Lauryn, she was born in New Jersey, United States. She rose to prominence as part of the Fugees, and went on to release her solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The album earned her five Grammy Awards – and she was the first rapper to win Album of the Year. The work explored identity, spirituality and social consciousness. Her hit songs include "Ex-Factor," "Lost Ones," and "Everything Is Everything."
Tickets for Diaspora Calling! go on sale on 31 March 2026.
