The Grammy Award-winning artists Akon and Ne-Yo will play The O2.


London, get ready for some feel-good nostalgia. Grammy Award–winning artists Ne-Yo and Akon have announced that their co-headlined Nights Like This global tour is landing in London. The show is heading to The O2 on 8 May, and here’s how to get hold of tickets.

If you’re a fan of R&B music, you’re in for a treat. For one night only, there will be a celebration of two top artists, Ne-Yo and Akon. The tour unites the pair in a high-energy show that sees them share the stage, delivering a run of crowd-pleasing hits and nostalgic favourites.

Ne-Yo hails from Arkansas, United States. In 2005, he released his debut single, Stay. His hit songs include "Closer," "Miss Independent", and "So Sick." His albums Because of You and Year of the Gentleman reached numbers one and two on the Billboard 200, respectively. Over his career, he has won Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song at the Grammy Awards. Year of the Gentleman went on to sell two million copies worldwide.

Akon was born in Missouri, United States, and was raised in a Muslim family — his mother was a dancer and his father a percussionist. He rose to prominence in 2004 with his single "Locked Up." His hit songs also include "Smack That," "Lonely", and Right Now "(Na Na Na)." Over his career, he has won two Grammy Awards and written songs for artists including Michael Jackson, Snoop Dogg and Whitney Houston.
