The marvellous musical will play for two nights only.

The title may as well be Andrew Lloyd Webber Never Dies. The musical maestro is back with Love Never Dies, and he clearly shows no signs of stopping. The show, a semi-sequel to the renowned The Phantom of the Opera, is returning to the West End and will play at The London Palladium on 16 and 17 October.

Jamie Muscato and Celinde Schoenmaker are set to lead the return of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Glenn Slater, Ben Elton and Frederick Forsyth’s Love Never Dies. Produced by Darren Bell and Cuffe & Taylor for Live Nation, it was previously staged at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Directed by Shaun Kerrison, the production will run for only two performances.

Muscato will take on the role of the Phantom, and Schoenmaker reprises her role as Christine. The show is the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, and is set a decade after the Phantom’s disappearance from Paris. The original, The Phantom of the Opera, tells the story of a mysterious figure who lives beneath the Paris Opera House. He becomes obsessed with a young soprano, Christine Daaé, influencing her from the shadows and demanding her devotion. Now, he manages to lure Christine and her family to his new home, America – and is determined to win her back.

The concert forms part of the 40th anniversary celebrations for The Phantom of the Opera, which continues to run in the West End at His Majesty’s Theatre. Since opening in 1986, the musical has been seen by more than 160 million people and counting worldwide.
