Aces Foodcraft will be led by Alex Craciun and Aleksandra Jazevica.
The former head chef of Jason Atherton’s Sosharu, Alex Craciun, is opening his next venture, Aces Foodcraft. Located in Fitzrovia, London, it's scheduled to open in autumn. The newest project aims to be a casual spot during the day, transforming into a more immersive, personal experience in the evening.
After nearly ten years away from London’s culinary scene, Craciun’s return is highly anticipated by loyal fans. Having received global praise and recognition for his work as head chef at Sosharu, Aces Foodcraft marks a welcome return to the capital.
Craciun’s wife, Aleksandra Jazevica, is a director at the high-end costermonger Primeur in Covent Garden Market. She is an expert in building strong relationships between producers and business owners. With their combined expertise, the new restaurant will be in very capable hands – a culinary power couple.

Craciun explained: "With her involved, I truly believe Aces will have one of the most seasonal and ingredient-driven menus in London. It's a deeply personal and produce-led restaurant, where creativity meets seasonality — designed to bring a sense of home, theatre, and innovation to the heart of London”.
By day, the restaurant will offer a relaxed setting, featuring a seasonal à la carte menu with daily specials. In the evenings, it will transform into a more intimate space. Expect a nine-seat kitchen counter experience, where Craciun will cook and serve guests. The team will create a tasting menu and à la carte option.
There are a range of dishes on the menu. Enjoy English baby lamb truffle soufflé with fava beans and spring vegetables. Kagoshima Wagyu comes with asparagus and pickled himeji mushrooms. Plus, Aji horse mackerel comes from Okinawa with crispy nori and fresh wasabi.
