Running from 29 to 30 January, Vibrance will be free to attend.

London is about to get lit. Vibrance, a new free festival of light and sound, is set to arrive in the City of London. Running from 29 to 30 January 2026, the event will transform the City with light, sound and live performance. The event is free to attend, and will run from 5.30pm to 8.30pm each evening.

Over two nights, historic landmarks, hidden gardens and striking façades will be reimagined through colour, music and storytelling. The festival brings together artists, designers and performers from the Guildhall School to reinterpret five iconic locations across the City.

Visitors are invited to rediscover the City’s architectural treasures in a whole new light. Guildhall Yard will host a large-scale projection illuminating one of the City’s most historic spaces, alongside an experimental live performance fusing opera and electronic music. A singer will perform in front of the Guildhall wearing an audio-responsive costume.

At St Alphage London Wall and Garden, an interactive installation will combine projections with soundscapes that respond to audience movement. Salters’ Garden will feature a sonic installation that guides visitors along a hidden route of speakers woven through the greenery.

St Giles’ Cripplegate will present an Extended Reality installation in which sound, light, and virtual reality merge to create an otherworldly atmosphere. Meanwhile, Milton Court will showcase a series of visual lightworks by Guildhall School’s Digital Design and Production artists, reflecting on inner-city life and its impact on the human experience.
