The event highlights culture and community.

Tunisia Culture Weekend has been announced and runs from 2 to 5 October 2025. Taking place across London, it shines a spotlight on Tunisian creativity, culture, and community. If you’d like to join the exciting events, here’s what you need to know.

ATUGE UK and NowArt have come together to create Tunisia Culture Weekend, which is a vibrant programme featuring cinema, cuisine, and live music. The aim is to invite visitors to connect and celebrate the richness of Tunisia in the heart of the city.

The Alyssa Film Festival returns for its fifth edition, featuring two screenings. The event will be held at the Court House, Great Marlborough Street, London. The featured films include "Aicha" by Mehdi M. Barsaoui and "For Ilef" by Sabre Baccouch. Each screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the directors and crew, offering audiences a unique opportunity to explore the stories and challenges behind each film.

"Aïcha" follows a young woman in her twenties living in Tozeur, Tunisia. She works as a cleaner in a resort hotel and gives all her earnings to her parents. After a minibus crash in which she is the sole survivor, she decides to reinvent herself. "For Ilef" follows a young woman who was born as a product of rape, and carries the burden of her origin.

Tawla Tounsia also returns for its second edition, promising a full day of cultural experiences. The event will take place at St Luke’s Remembrance Hall in Chelsea, London. Highlights include traditional Tunisian food presented by Tawla Tounseyya, and live music from DJ Helmy.
