A thrilling new stage adaptation of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is set to arrive at Riverside Studios, London. Running from 15 November 2025 to 15 February 2026, the production offers fans an imaginative and immersive journey through Douglas Adams’ legendary sci-fi comedy.
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is a 90-minute interactive experience, reimagining the cult classic as a live adventure unfolding across multiple spaces within the venue. Audiences will join beloved characters – including Arthur Dent, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Fenchurch, and Marvin the Paranoid Android – on a quest to uncover the answer to life, the universe, and everything. Best of all, the audience becomes part of the crew too.
The evening begins in an unconventional pub setting, and the story unfolds over a drink and an unusual conversation. Go on an adventure: escape Earth’s destruction with seconds to spare, hitch a ride on a spaceship, and encounter a group of inter-dimensional mice debating whether the planet should survive.
Created by an award-winning team, this production blends live music, dance, and immersive theatre. The result is a show that brings the sci-fi world to life. The pre-recorded voice cast features Sanjeev Bhaskar, Lenora Crichlow, and Tamsin Greig.
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy began as a radio series in 1978. The concept later expanded into a bestselling book series, a cult television show and a 2005 film starring Martin Freeman, Sam Rockwell, Yasiin Bey and Zooey Deschanel.
