Sadie Sink will make her London stage debut.

Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink is set to make her West End debut. She will star in a production of Romeo and Juliet, alongside the British actor Noah Jupe. Running from 16 March to 6 June, the show will take place at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Romeo and Juliet brings to life William Shakespeare’s play of star-crossed lovers. The production will be directed by award-winning writer and director Robert Icke, who is renowned for his adaptations of George Orwell’s 1984 and Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya.

Sadie hails from Texas, United States. She originally starred on Broadway in the play The Audience. In 2016, she made her film debut in the sports drama Chuck. In 2017, she rose to fame after joining the TV show Stranger Things, where she played Max Mayfield.

Sadie has not appeared on stage in London before and will be performing in the West End for the first time. Recently, she appeared on stage at The O2 in London, joining the singer Lorde during a concert. She also recently received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in John Proctor Is the Villain.

She explained: “I was a Broadway kid, so I’ve always dreamed about doing a show in the West End. To get to do that in one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays under Rob’s direction with Noah will be such an exciting challenge. London theatre has this incredible energy, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
