Do you like scary movies? If you’ve answered yes and know the reference to the question, then this is for you. Running from 21 to 25 August at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square and Odeon Luxe West End, Frightfest 2025 has announced its list of horror films. Turn down the lights, grab the popcorn, and get ready to be scared silly.
On 21 August, Frightfest 2025 opens with the UK premiere of The Home starring Pete Davidson. The psychological film has been created by the director James DeMonaco, who is behind the cult classic The Purge. On 25 August, the festival closes with Influencers. Directed by Benjamin Sharer, the film follows social media influencers as they attempt to expose a serial killer. Plus, there will be a range of UK premieres throughout the festival.
Frightfest 2025 screenings take place across a main screen and multiple smaller screens in the capital. The horror feature, Bone Lake; director Stephen Biro’s A Serbian Documentary; Joe Begos’ Jimmy and Stiggs; the multiverse horror, Redux Redux; the psychological thriller, SelfHelp; a 4K restoration screening of The Descent; and the suspense film, What She Doesn’t Know. One of the festival highlights is expected to be Macon Blair’s The Toxic Avenger reboot, starring Peter Dinklage,

The 2025 event will be epic in every sense, celebrating the inventive, transgressive and diverse.
