P21 and Shubbak Festival have created the show together.
P21 Gallery in Euston, London, is hosting the Art of the Palestinian Poster exhibition this summer for one month only. Running until 20 June, the exhibition showcases original artworks from the Zawyeh Gallery in Dubai for the first time in London.
Curated by Malu Halasa, the exhibition explores themes of resistance, resilience, and the Palestinian lived experience, all through the power of the Palestinian poster. It highlights how conversations around Palestine have been shifting in the West in recent years.
The exhibition features works by the first generation of artists who created Palestinian modern art – Vera Tamari, Sliman Mansour, Tayseer Barakat, and Nabil Anani – as well as renowned contemporary artists such as Gazan Hazem Harb, Lebanese musician Khaled El Haber, Palestinian poster-maker Haneen Nazzal, and more.
The exhibition also now includes works by Protest Stencil (London) and New Visions, a Palestinian art collective.

The exhibited posters were originally created using a range of media, including charcoal, ink, acrylics, collage, mixed media, animation, and digital design, all addressing themes of destruction, death, and human rights violations.
P21 Gallery is a non-profit space dedicated to promoting Arab arts and culture on a contemporary stage. With a particular focus on emerging and student artists, it aims to foster cross-cultural dialogue that elevates the voices of younger artists from across the East and the West.
Shubbak Festival (meaning ‘window’ in Arabic) is Europe’s largest festival of Arab and SWANA (Southwest Asian & North African) arts and culture. Running from 23 May to 15 June, the festival showcased visual arts, film, theatre, music, dance, workshops, talks, and more.
