Now You See Me: Live will play at the London Coliseum.
Stage and screen come together in Now You See Me: Live, a stage adaptation of the film series coming to the London Coliseum. Running from 31 July to 6 September 2026, it promises a dazzling array of illusions to keep audiences guessing.
Once upon a time, magicians on stage were predictable and a little cheesy. Now, that has all changed – after successful runs in Las Vegas, Sydney and Singapore, Now You See Me: Live is heading to London for a five-week summer residency. The production has already received rave reviews overseas. The show is a collaboration between entertainment impresario Simon Painter and Australian theatre creator Tim Lawson, and is backed by Lionsgate, the studio behind the original films.
The production combines high-energy performance, cutting-edge technology and storytelling. It draws inspiration from the Four Horsemen – a troupe of illusionists who take on criminals – and aims to bring that fun and finesse to the stage.
Released in 2013, Now You See Me is a fast-paced heist thriller directed by Louis Leterrier. The film follows a group of illusionists who pull off elaborate robberies during their performances. Once they’ve completed the heists, they often share (or should we say shower) the money onto their audience – as the Robin Hoods of magic, they steal from the rich and give to their audience. As their fame grows, they attract the attention of the FBI, and things take an unexpected turn.
The star-studded cast includes Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco. Plus, it includes Mark Ruffalo, Michael Caine, and Morgan Freeman.
