The London Palestine Film Festival screening takes place at SOAS.

London Palestine Film Festival presents the London premiere of Gaza Eyewitnesses, a film by Palestinian artists based on real-life testimonies from Gaza. The screening will take place on 10 March at the SOAS Brunei Lecture Theatre at 7pm, followed by a Q&A with the film’s creative team.

Gaza Eyewitnesses is an emotional and striking film by Palestinian artists, built from oral testimonies from within Gaza. This brief but powerful 50-minute film delivers the full spectrum of human experience, including themes of death and life, desperation and irony, horror and humanity. The cinematic work acts as an ongoing testimony to the strength and determination to survive despite the forces of occupation and the realities on the ground.

The film combines varied perspectives from people in Gaza to capture a mix of personal stories, situations and experiences. Rooted in Gaza throughout, the film stands as a reminder that Palestine must not be forgotten.

The screening will be followed by an exclusive Q&A session featuring Hossam Al Madhoun, a theatre maker, writer and child protection specialist, and will be chaired by Jonathan Chadwick, Director of Az Theatre.

Artists involved in making the film include Salwa Nakkara, Hossam Al Madhoun, Ahmad Tobasi, Aseel Farhat, Atallah Tannous and Fadwa Qamhia, with dramaturgy by Ofira Henig, and the film directed by Aleko Gotscheff.
