The event includes art, food and poetry.

Palestine at the Palace – A Night For Palestine is bringing together Arab creatives for a powerful cultural evening. Taking place on 27 September at St John the Evangelist in Upper Norwood, London, the event offers a chance to deepen your understanding of Palestine through music, poetry and art.

Palestine at the Palace – A Night For Palestine features a performance by Dyarr, a collective of Arab creatives based in London who regularly host artistic events across the city. At the event, they will use music and poetry to raise funds for the Daughters of Jerusalem London concert, which takes place in London on 1 November.

The event also includes the Palestinian poet, Hafiza Ibrahim. She is a Palestinian refugee and originally from Acre. She came to the United Kingdom and studied at Goldsmiths, University of London. She draws on her rich multicultural background and personal trauma to write powerful poetry that explores identity, fear, and resilience. Determined to be heard, she learned English and pursued creative writing, and aimed to tell her story in a foreign language. She is passionate about helping children through culture and creativity.

At Palestine at the Palace – A Night For Palestine, visitors will also have the opportunity to learn about Palestine’s rich heritage through traditional food, crafts and literature. There will be stalls selling handmade items, books, and merchandise, as well as a raffle with prizes.

Doors open at 6.30pm, with music beginning at 7.30pm. Check in with FACT for the best things to do in London.
