The actress makes a triumphant return to the West End.
The British actor and singer Cynthia Erivo is going from the screen to the stage. The Wicked star has announced that she will be returning to London's West End. Running from 4 February to 31 May 2026, she will play the vampire in Dracula at the Noel Coward Theatre.
Dracula is adapted and directed by Kip Williams. He was previously behind he award-winning version of The Picture of Dorian Gray. Kip is bringing his team of producers from Dorian Gray to Dracula, and they include Adam Kenwright.
Cynthia will be flexing her acting muscles, and will play all 23 characters in Bram Stoker's Dracula. The characters include the solicitor Jonathan Harker, his fiancée Mina Murray, and the vampire hunter Van Helsing. Plus, she will take on Count Dracula himself.
The show will be set in a crumbling castle. Dracula has set his sights on London, and is ready to cast a sinister spell. While Dracula is not a musical, Cynthia will sing at the end of the show. The song has been composed by Clemence Williams.
Cynthia Erivo hails from London, United Kingdom. She is no stranger to the stage. In 2016, she starred in The Color Purple, and went on to win a Tony award. She has become a household name after starring in the film adaptation of the stage musical, Wicked. Over her career, she has also won an Emmy Award and a Grammy Award. She has been nominated for three Academy Awards.
