The celebrated comedy night Arabs Are Not Funny is back. On 29 April from 8pm to 9.30 pm, it takes place at The Old Queens Head in Islington, London. The night combines comedy, culture and community, and here’s how to get hold of tickets.

Arabs Are Not Funny is produced by Arts Canteen. The event is held regularly at the Royal Albert Hall and is now heading to Arts Canteen, with the premise that proves humour knows no boundaries.

The show brings together comedians with roots in the Arab world, each eager to showcase their talents and put the sceptics firmly in their place. This edition features an impressive line-up including Joe Haddad, Mo Magaleo, Sezar Alkassab and Talal Karkouti.

Joe Haddad is from London and of Palestinian origin. He is an actor and comedian, and a regular on London's comedy circuit. He has appeared at the Barbican, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Royal Court and The Young Vic.

Mo Magaleo

Mo Magaleo is a British-Moroccan comedian who draws on his experiences as a working-class Moroccan Arab.

Sezar Alkassab is a film producer and comedian. His family are from Iraq, and he was raised in Glasgow. He offers conversational comedy sketches that explore heritage and cultural differences.

Talal Karkouti is an actor and comedian. Born in London, he began his career in musicals and theatre. In 2022, he came second in the Musical Comedy Awards. He also co-hosts the Alexi Style Podcast.
